Joel Block will headline this event and will share numerous insights and practical suggestions to help you develop and grow your own highly successful syndication business.
Joel began his career as a CPA with the prestigious firm of
Price Waterhouse. During his time with the company’s Entrepreneurial
Services Group, Joel immersed himself in the real estate syndication
business.
After reviewing hundreds of partnership agreements and
preparing as many tax returns, he left Price Waterhouse in 1986 to
start his own syndication firm, raising several million dollars in
three short years. By 1990, Joel had built a property management
firm of more than 40 employees with a portfolio exceeding $100 million.
Joel continues to syndicate real estate and other assets, as well
as counseling other promoters on successful syndication strategies.
He is also involved in film financing and invests in early stage
companies and other deals.

Russ Frandsen is a very experienced attorney and was one of our top speakers in Orlando. He was so extraordinarily popular in Orlando that we begged him to come back for our Vegas event.
Russ is an alum of the Duke University Law School, has 31 years experience in practicing business law and in serving as outside general counsel to middle market companies. Throughout his 31 years of working with major corporate law firms in Los Angeles, Russ has developed a diverse range of experience, particularly with corporate finance and securities, corporate transactions, gift certificates & gift cards, technology, venture capital, real estate, and taxation. Russ now brings this expertise to his own law firm, the Business Legal Group.

Julie Jacobson is the founder of Sapphire Investments & Real Estate Consulting Services. In the 1990s in San Francisco she managed & leased an executive office suite facility and was an office & retail leasing and investment sales agent in the booming ".com" creative office SoMA area.
In Los Angeles, she was the regional leasing director for the 1m+ SF Lowe Enterprises office portfolio. Most recently, Mrs. Jacobson was an Acquisitions VP for LaeRoc Funds, a private equity fund in Hermosa Beach where she sourced, underwrote, contracted, analyzed, conducted due diligence, secured financing, and formulated asset strategies for office and retail transactions on the West Coast. This resulted in acquisition of $380m of assets totaling approximately 2 million square feet. She holds a BA from UC Berkeley and an MBA from Marshall at USC with a real estate finance focus from the LUSK Center for Real Estate. |
